Hope you had the loveliest of New Yearses. I enjoyed stacks of new music last year, thought I’d share some of it, slightly belatedly as per common convention, but on a blog which dates back 20-odd years, what even is time.
My playlist of 2024 Great Choons is at 117 songs and growing but it’s really only scratching the surface. Great is of course highly subjective, it’s custom-built for me, but seems there’s a vast swathe of incredible creative shit that’s being released.
I was also fortunate to see some absolutely stunning live shows: Thom Yorke, St. Vincent, Air, Haitus Kaiyote, The Australian Art Orchestra, TISM & MGF, Mood Lifters, Mildlife, Antonio Sanchez, and more. Lucky me. Thankyou musicians, thankyou music.
